Mr R – who didn’t want to miss a thing | Melbourne Newborn Photographer

Meet Mr R – who had made sure he got all his sleeping done before I got there, as he didn’t want to miss a minute of what was going on during his photo shoot.  Even when his eyes started getting heavy, he was very determined to fight it off.  I am just betting mum got a decent rest later that day, as I am sure he slept very well afterwards.  In spite of his lack of wanting to sleep though, we still got some great shots.  Here is a little sneak peek J, and I will have the rest up in a gallery for you shortly.

A bayside babe – Miss A | Melbourne newborn photographer

This week saw me journey down the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, to Rosebud.  It was a glorious picture perfect day, with the bay as still as a mill pond.  I was lucky enough to meet Miss A and her mum.  Miss A certianly put us through our paces, and made me work hard for these, but I think the results were worth it.  Hope you like these C, will let you know once the gallery is ready.

Have I said how much I love newborns – welcome Mr L | Melbourne newborn photographer

A few months ago, I was lucky enough to meet C & V, and do a maternity shoot for them, so I was eager to meet their new little one.  Baby L was beautiful, but clearly he didn’t think I was working hard enough, so wanted to make sure I was, sending me home with a wee bit of washing.  Ah, the joys of newborns!!  He made us work hard to get him asleep, but we got some great shots when he did finally nod off.  Hope you enjoy the sneak peek C & V, and will have the gallery ready shortly.

Miss S – who was very comfy where she was, and in no hurry at all | Melbourne newborn photographer

Welcome to the world Miss S – she was reluctant to arrive, but I am sure mum and dad are so pleased that she finally did make her appearance.  At first Miss S was very keen to check out what was going on, and showed no sign of any sleepiness, but eventually sleep got the better of her, and we were able to get some beautiful shots.  Will have the rest ready soon S, in the meantime enjoy!!

Miss C – Oh I do so love a sleeping newborn | Melbourne Newborn Photographer

Last week I was lucky enough to meet Miss C, who was sweet enough to give her mum a very quick labour, even if it was Easter Sunday.  Forewarned that she should sleep well, she did indeed live up to this, and with only a murmur or two, she let us capture some great shots, before she decided enough was enough.

Amongst the many things I had brought to the session, she was only too happy to model a new cocoon I had made, and from her expression, she definitely seemed to like it.

I also got to try out an awesome new wrap I had bought from one of my favourite sellers on Etsy.com, madaboutcolour (for anyone who has not yet found it, Etsy is a very dangerous site to your wallet, as it has all sorts of great newborn hats, wraps etc, and as such is very addictive),  and was able to try this shot, inspired by a shot from one of my favourite American newborn photographers, Blair Blanks (her website is blairblanks.com – check her out).  Hope you enjoy these T, I will have the gallery ready soon.

Miss S – so sweet and sleepy | Melbourne Newborn Photographer

Meet Miss S, another sleeping beauty.  What a life, being able to go around and take picture of babies, I do love my job!!!  She slept through nearly the whole session, almost without incident, and allowed us to capture some beautiful shots.  Hope you enjoy the sneak peak E, should have the rest ready soon.

Mr E – couldn’t wait to get here, a bub in a rush…| Melbourne Newborn Photographer

Last week, I met Mr E & his mum – I had been meant to do a maternity shoot with his mum, but we had to postpone it, and unfortunately Mr E decided he did not want to wait to come into this world, so bang went the plans for our maternity shoot.  But when you have a newborn like this one, it makes up for it – he slept nicely through the whole thing, and let us do pose him with barely a murmur, I could happily have stayed there all day shooting.  Hope you enjoy these C, your gallery will be ready shortly.

Sleeping beauty – 7 days of sweetness | Melbourne Newborn Photographer

When I walked into Miss L’s home, I was instantly drawn to the beautiful natural light flooding through the windows,  just perfect for our shoot.  Miss L slept very soundly, only stirring a couple of times, allowing us to capture some beautiful shots.  Hope you enjoy the sneak peek H & J, will have the gallery ready very soon for you.

Miss E – 7 day old sweetie who made the cutest little sounds | Melbourne Newborn Photographer

My lucky run with sleepy bubs continued with the lovely Miss E – she slept through almost the entire session, only waking near the end, in the meantime making some of the cutest little sounds.  That meant we were able to capture some great shots with a few new items I have been buying on my new favourite site, Etsy.com, which is a very addictive site.    Warning – if you have a weakness for gorgeous handmade items of every type, stay away from that site.  You have been warned!!!!

I couldn’t wait to see how the session had come out, so just had to have a quick play.  S, please enjoy Miss E – will have the rest ready for you soon

Mr J – 8 days old + heater + sleep lamb = 1 sleepy newborn | Melbourne Newborn Photographer

My run with lovely sleepy newborns has continued – his mum told me when I walked in that he had been sleeping for 3 hours now, so he might wake up any minute.  So I spent the time on tenterhooks, not knowing how many shots we would get before Mr J decided it was feeding time- luckily with the combination of the heater and my sleep lamb, he slept for yet another hour, allowing us to get some great captures.
